Janet is a Registered Dietitian. She completed her Masters in Nutrition and internship at Texas A&M University. She is licensed in Vermont and New Hampshire and has been practicing in the field of nutrition for over 30 years. She recently is a CLT (Certified Leap Therapist). LEAP stands for Lifestyle, Eating And Performance. It is an effective protocol that combines the Mediator Release Test (MRT) with the skills of a Certified LEAP Therapist to produce a patient-specific anti-inflammatory diet designed to lower inflammation, and by doing so, reduce or eliminate your symptoms. She specializes in weight control and compulsive eating behavior. She recently became certified in EBT (Emotional Brain Training) .
Janet understands what it is to fight for your health. Managing her weight was a struggle during her childhood and she actually went on her first diet at age 10. That was the beginning of a lifelong journey to wellness. She finally started to lose weight in high school by severely limiting her calories and working out daily. After going through six pregnancies , she topped off at the highest weight she had ever been. She tried EVERY diet out there, hoping to find successl. She was doing everything "right". She felt hopeless but became determined to find the answers. Through a series of events, which included thousands of hours of research, visits to various doctors, and numerous lab tests, she was able to lose some weight to a point, but then stopped making progress. She was eating all the "right" foods but not seeing the results. She became interested in the LEAP protocol. By completing the Mediator Release Test (MRT), which is a simple blood test, she was able to obtain a list of foods that were the cause of inflammation in her body. She was then able to develop a specific plan for eating and was able to heal her body. She also worked on controlling emotional eating and turned the struggle over to God. Finally the pieces of the puzzle came together and she reached her goal.
She is dedicated and committed to helping people reach their goals, whatever those may be.

Stress overload is the new pandemic, changing our physiology to promote changes in eating, weight, mood, and health. EBT is a proven program based on learning skills that promote optimal resilience at all stress levels and rewire the circuits that trigger overeating and weight regain. Eating and weight are particularly “stress sensitive,” so learning the EBT 5 Core Skills of Stress Overload is recommended nutrition and weight care. EBT was developed at the University of California, San Francisco and is the only program for weight management that has shown in peer-reviewed journals to be associated with lasting weight loss without the use of surgery or weight loss drugs (See science at EBT.ORG). We are certified to provide training on the “EBT 5 Core Skills” to support your success in achieving healthy eating and weight.
Millions of Americans suffer from food sensitivities. LEAP is a program where a patient can quickly overcome even the most troublesome food sensitivity related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, migraine and other headaches, weight imbalances, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic sinusitis, skin eruptions, and brain fog , These conditions are often directly related to specific immune reactions to the foods we eat. Even healthy foods can provoke symptoms in sensitive individuals. Diet can play an important role in provoking symptoms in many challenging condiitions and needs to be managed to get the best outcomes. Careful and individualized dietary planning may be exactly what is needed for many people.

"Janet is one of the best nutrition counselors I have had the pleasure of working with. Janet is very thorough, very caring and very supportive. She freely gives complements, which are so important when you are trying so hard to accomplish your goals with eating: whether it be a food disorder, food addiction, weight loss, or anything else you need professional help dealing with. If you make mistakes, and you will because you are human, she helps you to be kind to yourself and non-judgmental. She is a great listener and works tirelessly to help you with your needs. She is also patient and has a very upbeat personality and is just plain fun to talk with! "I came to Janet after struggling with my GI issues for a while. I normally manage well on m y own but had recently started making unhealthy eating choices again. With the LEAP planning and testing, I was able to get my symptoms under control again. While working with her, I also discovered a new passion for cooking! Meal prepping and cooking is no longer the chore I dread. Janet was supportive and very knowledgeable while also keeping me accountable."
" I sought out Janet after reading about her background in nutrition and her expertise as a CLT therapist. I requested her help after many frustrating years dealing with gut issues and inflammatory issues. Janet was very helpful identifying what would help me the most. First she did food sensitivity testing and based on those results developed an individualized plan of how to gradually build the right nutrition plan for me. She evaluated my progress intensively during each session and gave me a lot of support and guidance along the way. She is a very upbeat, positive person. I enjoyed talking with her each time. I am happy to report that most of my symptoms have disappeared after six months of therapy. I will continue to maintain a relationship with Janet on an "as needed" basis if something comes up. I highly recommend Janet if you are experiencing problems with irritable bowel problems, rheumatoid arthritis or really any chronic food related issues."
